This is a phrase I am working with currently. Let it land. I have always been so busy, so involved in doing that let it land never really had space. As an empath, a sensitive or one who experiences the world so fully, this has been a very important piece of the puzzle that I never really learned. Letting things land. Letting experiences, situations, have space to integrate and be absorbed in me fully before the next thing.
Often at the end of the day, I have so many things that occurred, and I was filled with the mix of feelings, thoughts, physical things that are all jumbled in me. I can be overwhelmed with newness of things being in a new area. If I slow down between things, let it land into me, my whole being not just my mind, I feel better. I allow it all to trickle in and not have to make sense of it right when it happens. Some things have meaning. Other things are just part of a larger story that can't be seen right now. Some are just waves of life that happen. My mind so active wants to make senes of everything right now. But in reality it can't. We can't always see the picture when we are so close up. Let it land has been helpful to me. Slowing down, allowing mystery and uncertainty, being in process, and ok with that. It is like closing the windows on your computer. Something happens and I take a minute to digest it. Let it land. Call it complete for now or close the window. Not a mental thing, more like an embodiment thing. Not rushing to the next as I have often done, then found myself overwhelmed later in exhaustion. I am finding a better rhythm to appreciate and integrate all the info that comes in any given day by taking more space to let it filter in as it does. When I do this, I feel more stable and settled to be in uncertainty. It is a more quiet process than a thinking one.. I love my mind but it is quick and rolls through things and ideas too fast for all of me to integrate it. I feel so deeply. see so vividly, hear the unspoken and if I take time to let it land, it feels better. It is like enjoying the rich scale of sound and color in all its brilliance over letting it all blend into thinking and doing and figuring out. So I offer it to you. Perhaps in this world of so much data, so much info, so much input, you too, can find more moments of quiet to let things land. There is so much going on on all levels. Letting the info in and then not always putting it somewhere but letting what is necessary stay and what is not to flow through and down into the ground. Let is settle before doing more or calling it something. We all know hindsight is 20/20 so maybe we can live that and say, it will play out as it does. Maybe tomorrow it will make sense. There is no reason to solve it all today. Kind of like rain soaking into the earth. It has been freeing and less stressful to be in a new state, new life, new everything. Let it land my wisdom for independence day. More like interdependence day to me. Knowing it all is working together and I am only a piece. I don't have to do it all or solve it all or even understand it all. It is giving me a better rhythm to life in this chapter. Maybe it helps you too.
