The most powerful time of the day is the morning! How you get out of bed is the flavor of the day. I start my day with a powerful visualization or affirm the wonder of my day. To start your day in the flavor and mood that will serve you best is such a simple and effective way to begin another day of life. We all know this for we know when we are behind and must jump out of bed. That feeling of behind, rushing and flying quickly just sets a tone that often sets up a hectic day.
I don't know if we realize the power of this time. We are returning back to our body or awakening again in it. All is fresh and new. We can jump back in remembering our issues from yesterday or with intention, start the day in gentleness, ease and gratitude. It shifts everything. In the feminine mysteries, it was a time to sink into our beautiful body with stretches while in bed. Just like cats do as they roll around and stretch into each body part. We were encouraged to roll about in bed in play and joy. Giggly even. We also learned Tai Chi for laying in bed. Running your fingers through your hair. Doing happy baby pose. Qigong face massages or tapping on your body to awaken it. Be intuitive about it. It is your body and how you reenter to feel good you only know. These are ways I play before I get out so I am filled with childlike enthusiasm and beauty. So simple yet so profound. To wake up in a light, happy mood is powerful for a blessed life. The affirmations or visualization of how wonderful you feel, how great the day will go, how miracles, surprises and blessings are here or just affirming that bright good mood you create. These moments when you first awake, you are still in brain waves that program your body. Before you are fully alert, it is a powerful time to program your subconscious with good things that support you to flow in grace. So simple and practical. Drinking a tall glass of water is important too. Your body has cleaned itself through the night so the water flushes your lymph system. A simple way to support your body. I put the glass of water at my heart and put positive thoughts and intentions in it. Dr. Emoto studied how positive thoughts create crystals in the water. It is the master communication system through all living things. We can easily program it for health, abundance, flow, ease and joy for the day. That water is imprinted with good frequencies supporting your body in magic ways as it detoxes. Of course, quality water is important too. The general tap or well water, even bottled water is sub par. I sell filters that are the most effective as well as ionizers for the healing hydrogen, antioxidant water. A big advocate for quality water and detoxing your home of chemicals, Very powerful health. Tea is another elixir to start the day. I drink a cup of tumeric tea with lemon or bone broth most mornings before I drink my coffee. Tea is medicine in many traditions and the water activates herbs differently than pill form. I do love coffee so I have that a bit later after I am more awake. Coffee has benefit in the right quantity. Really hydrating before you reach for coffee as a diretic, it takes water out of your body. 85% are dehydrated so watch that coffee. Double up on water afterwards. I like to move in gentle qigong or tai chi in the morning. Even shaking your body supports it simply to come on line. I do nothing challenging but enough to get my body flowing and stirring for the day. Just the simple awareness or intention of wake up and lets get you flowing. Our body is truly a gift and so efficient. To be greatful and flowing to it in the morning only allows it to work better for you. We called it our body deva, an animal really that sees our consciousness as God. Ready to support us to ride on the earth. We were always encouraged to be kind, complimentary and loving to it. The horse on which you ride it is called in yoga traditions. Even dance a song. Something that connects you to your body, grounds you fully in and is positive. You can save a work out for later. This is more light movement to really get you and your body connected and activated together. You could extend this list to others as you please like meditation.Each day is your art of how to begin or what you feel will fuel you. I consider the affirmations, the vizualization first thing my connect to the soul. Some days I do more in all these practices but usually I just do these simple things to get my day going the best I can from a health and emotion point of view. I find this makes for great days. allows great health and cultivates a good connection to your body with your spirit, mind and emotions. Aligning all these is the most powerful form of consciousness.
