How is everyone? I know how my daughter and I are managing as well as colleagues and friends. All seem relatively happy or resolved at making the most out of this down time. There are so many view points on this virus and how to be safe and take care. We all have different ideas about it. I am not fearful but follow the guidelines as a way to honor others and support the oneness that we all feel secure. I don't protest the ideas that I am not in agreement and I don't try to push my view. I honor that all are managing this the best they can. Different backgrounds, information sources and health philosophies could cause disagreements or resistance. I find it best to smile, honor that all can view this as it works for them. No need to be in whose right. We are in this together so honoring others is powerful way to be kind. Let go of being annoyed by others views, it is healthier.
Observe yourself. I have found this most rewarding self awareness. I inspire others to slow down in general and now we are in a lull. It is great to watch your inside processes and programs. I often am not sure what to do. I give myself permission to just chill out for all is complete. I can play. I watch how I view too much playing or playing often. I watch how somewhere inside myself, I am critical of too much play. I see how I judge too much play for there is no time for that. Things need to move and get done. I watch this unravel and challenge my pattern. Who taught me this? Do I believe that? Am I willing to live a contract with this view? I want life and work to be playful and fun. That is the contract I want to live, not what others taught me. I have many of these beliefs unraveling!
Learn of what nourishes you. I have had to renew ways of solitude that nourish me. I am in a new place and it is not open for us to go out and meet new people. I have found things to engage my self care in a new situation. I have had the time to really revel in painting my toenails. Not just do them without consciously enjoying it. Same with my mornings, baths, facials, movement practices and study. I don't have to rush through and can really tap into my emotions, mind and body on how it all really feels to nourish. To make the nourishing the best it can be. I love writing but need to be inspired. When it hits me I write and savor the feeling of goodness.
We think a lot about things and don't always engage our full being. We eat unconsciously, drive, do laundry while thinking of other things. This is not living. It is thinking. Living engages our whole being in a focus of what we are doing. Really enriching ourselves fully on all levels at once. We can do this easily with any task. Our habit is to be doing one thing, thinking another and often our body is trying to keep it all straight. I encourage you to take this time to really engage fully in tasks and ways of being. We have the time. If you are cooking, fully engage in the sensuality of it. Smell, smile, enjoy and allow oxytocin to fill you. It is a very powerful hormone and it feels delicious. We can really work this time to remember what embodiment, fully in our body, all senses on and perceiving while in that moment engaging. As all gets going again we have trained ourselves to experience the world in an alive way.
Be gentle with yourself and others. Most importantly yourself. We are hardest on ourselves. I know at times I must quiet up the petty tyrant in me. I touch my heart often, telling myself I love myself and I am doing well. I look in the mirror and say kind things as I get ready. It is a practice that keeps growing. We are trained to see the bad and resolve it. We have that down. Some things we can't resolve quickly. Rather than keep racking our minds, we could consider telling ourselves we'll figure it out and gently thank ourselves for all we have done.
Letting go allows the ideas to spin around in our head to come up with new solutions in odd times. This is the way we work. Like Einstein went to sleep with a problem seeking answers in dream time. We don't solve things immediately often. Creativity takes openness and time for innovation to stir. Realize we are set up this way and it is good. Be gentle, find something joyful to do and perhaps then a solution will pop in. Or you will meet one who has the answer or a piece of it. Patience a virtue for it allows magic to unfold.
Review your space and how inspiring it is! Being in our homes we can really notice what inspires and what doesn't. Your home and sacred space is designed to be your safe haven from the world where you can relax and gain energy. If anything in your environments depletes your energy you have power to shift it. As you look around you, are all the things very inspiring or do you need an update? Not just cleaning but having a space that inspires you top notch! Every time you notice something you don't fully love, even unconsciously, it will drain you. So clear magazines, things you thought you would get to but don't, call it complete. Things of that past that at one point were you, may not be so cool anymore. As I moved to Colorado, I brought nothing that reminded me of things old that don't inspire who I am today. During these times we can get rid of, complete, clean up and be sure at this time, in this phase of your life all items around you inspire and delight. If you see anything, you should feel the joy of that item, feel the energy it gives you the moment you notice. With your house filled with delight, you can get free energy from just being surrounded by happy vibes.
Educate yourself in an area that inspires you. We have time to expand our lives through hobbies, study, courses or information you always wanted to learn about and never had the time. Such online support in all fields! I love learning new things. I am expanding my study in Homeopathy, Gene Keys, Feminine Health, Epigenetics and Spirit/Science Alignments. I have also watched many of movies set in other countries or landscapes that I never was too. Inspiring me towards new travel in the future.
Expand your Joy! We could worry, fear, create ideas of what could happen or anticipate a new future. We could just enjoy this downtime. It takes creativity, innovation and flexibility. These are great energies of life! With a slow pace, creativity soars. Visualize your future as the best it can be. Take time to play with ideas and do things to improve your health, life, direction, personal satisfaction. We can understand why relax, joy, downtime is necessary for balance and a healthy life. We know how we lived on a rat wheel and now in slow motion. Both are extremes. Create a way of balance that works better for your life. You can determine this now with all this space to really know yourself and inspire a greater version of you!
