Guilt is a useless emotion in the schools of spirit. Why? It does nothing for anyone. If you did something to hurt someone, it is done. There is no going back so feeling bad about it does nothing for them. Feeling bad about yourself does nothing for you either. Self negation is no way to move forward, learn or become wiser. In fact, these behaviors support a lurking shadow within. It is better to forgive yourself and let go. Learn from it and anticipate you won't do that act again. It is your best way of self care.
We all hold past actions that we are not so proud of inside ourselves. We have been trained through guilt to do things that maybe we wouldn't do but we feel guilty, so we act to serve and support others when maybe that would not be our choice. Religions, people, situations use this emotion to manipulate us. If you are not willing to forgive yourself and others, you hold the past inside and it eats at you. This is not an honoring of anyone. It can create illness and the apt to occur again.
If you did something against someone and you hold guilt in as a negative emotion, by law you will attract that same vibration. You consider yourself "bad". That goes into our subconscious and it will circle about every so often to fulfill itself. It is how the emotional nature works. The vibration of negativity will fulfill itself again and again until it is let go. We think, "Why do I keep doing that over and over?" It is because you never really forgave yourself and let it go. We all are learning; we do things not so lovely. It is part of this experience. We can give ourselves and others a break that bad choices are part of learning. It is in holding it against ourselves that we don't learn and seem to return to the issue again.
Our behaviors do not determine who we are. We are spirits having a human experience. We are learning to ground that spirit of goodness here on this level. It takes some mistakes for learning. We need to be gentle when we do things wrong. We need to see the higher spirit and allow that to be nurtured so we can bring it in. We also need to do that for others. We all mess up and truly we are doing our best at any given time.
So let go of the past. It sounds easier than it is, but a practice so worthy of health and well being. No one benefits from anyone loathing. We can use the line "I forgive myself for judging myself for ..... You can use this also for others, "I forgive myself for judging so and so". This is a powerful practice that works. You keep saying it, reword it as many times that it comes forward. Allow all the stuff that comes up and keep forgiving. At one point, you will know it is let go and feel very light. You may even chuckle at it eventually. Using this practice throughout your life will support you. We can use this daily, weekly, when a big guilt comes up! Let it go!! It is does no good for anyone!
Do know others will want to hold you in guilt as well. They will logic and chat, tell you how you should feel bad for misdeeds. Move forward and let go. We can't hold our negativity with us for good health. It is not necessary to keep remembering your misdeed and don't allow others too. Yes, it is a challenge to live this but your wonder won't fully manifest if you keep holding pieces of anger at yourself and others. It is wasteful of life force, mind, emotions and health. It is over. You messed up. Another did. Don't keep giving energy to it.
Forgive yourself and others until it is done and over! We judge ourselves, others judge us and none of it really matters. We are here to honor ourselves and find our brightness so let go of anything that gets in the way. Move forward, let go, keep going! See yourself as a bright spirit learning what does and doesn't work! This is how we grow! WE RELEASE GUILT THROUGH FORGIVENESS! Be free! Delicious self care!
As an empath, one who feels the emotional current of the world, the emotions become quite a study. I believe all woman are empaths for it is a gift that comes with childbearing. Many men too. I inspire all to tap into their emotions for it is a valuable gift to sense the world. A guidance system of the energy around you. Emotions are energy moving.
We all are so good at pretending and masking our emotions, smiling when we are not happy, being kind when inside we are angry that the world is a confusing place to one using there sensing rightly. It is a gift of the body that many don't use. Unfortunately, many whether they know it not, can tell on some level that things are not as they seem yet can't quite put their finger on it. We all know this feeling. I consider that it has to do with this underlying sea of emotions that has a whole different world going on than appears on the surface.
We have been taught what is considered acceptable social behavior. We all want to follow those rules of social ettiquette. However, it is a very misleading world of what is really happening below the surface in the murky world of emotions. If we take things at face value, the situations we encounter have a much different appearance than what is really going on. We all do a great disservice to each other by not being honest about our feelings, We are energy, all connected and as our awareness gets greater, more people will understand this empathy and there is no hiding.
As one who feels this underlying current, I get confused for words are being said but the feelings in the room don't match them. I am perplexed and then begin to wonder what is really happening, why are you feeling anger when this person in front of you appears calm. Or why are they saying all is okay when I feel that they are not okay. Much of my life, I considered I just couldn't decipher the reality of things and often turned this misunderstanding of what appeared to be occurring against myself in the form of doubt. Not anymore for I clearly understand what is happening when others don't. Why it is a gift. I know what others need even when they don't.
Many empaths become addicts or get lost in medicating themselves for they feel this undercurrent so strongly. They don't know how to get away from all this negativity they feel when on the surface, there appears to be none. It can be very confusing if you don't know this gift. With feeling others emotions and they have different words that don't match what is really going on, it seems like chaos. I spent alot of my life in this confusion until I realized this gift and began to investigate it. There are many still lost with this gift having no understanding. The world is very unsettling for them.
What I find is that most people don't truly know their own emotions for a life time of pretending. Negative emotions are present and rather than speak through them or share them, most are just stuffing them down and giving forth a calm demeanor that may look that way but feels very different They call this passive aggression. With our social "how are you?' and the common "fine" answers of small talk, we do everyone a disservice. Most importantly ourselves. How are we to commune rightly if everyone is "hiding" their truth?
Knowing your emotions as the guidance they are is key to your experience here. They offer you signs on your environment, what is good, when to leave, what direction to take. With this training to pretend, we miss the gift and purpose of energy moving (emotion) and get quite confused ourselves. I find that I know what others are feeling better than they do. I can tell them but they will often disagree at first. A day or two later, they will come back and tell me after they thought about it, I was right on. At the time they fought me tooth and nail that I was wrong. I have learned to trust my sensing over their awareness.
After great study of knowing my own emotions, what they feel like, I can tell when an emotional current is in the room. I have great awareness of how I feel so if another feeling is present, it is obvious it is there. Their words may not match it but the tone of the vibration is clear. It gets complicated on how to operate when one is saying one thing yet feeling another. I used to get upset that people where not being honest. Yet now I realize they don't even know they are annoyed fully to share it anyway. Often so disconnected from their own emotional nature and unaware. How did it get to this? Our emotions are an important guidance to the world and have great purpose to inform us.
I believe many relationships, communication and connection is misunderstood between people for this Image of what we are to say and share with others. What we really think about things is not truly expressed. . Resentment, hidden anger, annoyance all get put into a relationship with no words on them. An empath is very aware of this. It is not always a good thing to feel the truth of the emotions present. People often try to pin on me their emotions that they are unaware of. I am very discerning who I want about me and often find being alone is easier.
I share this mostly as a invitation to tap into your own emotions so you can use them, this sensing to support your understanding of the world. When you know your own emotions, you can better know others without words. This may not always be a good thing, for I often battle folks on this yet in the end they are grateful for the awareness. You will at least know greater the truth of what is occurring around you in clarity even when others do not. This has been great self care for me to get out of situations quickly or avoid negativity that often the giver of it doesn't even know they are clearly sharing it with me.
The multidimensional consciousness is opening and our children are much more adept at this. This fake out culture won't last long if their sensing is as clear as mine. I am thankful for it is hard to surf the sea of emotion that is around with no one claiming it. Often they push it on me and it is really their own misunderstanding of themselves. In reality it is written on your face and in your whole body language. Discover your true emotions. It is a juicy, fun world to really feel them all rather than the few goods ones we are allowed to express!

If there is one thing I learn from consulting and mentoring others it is that they are missing the life experience here because they get so caught up in mental masterbation,. Stinking thinking is how John Rogers puts it! It may sound harsh but it is what I perceive as the issue. Stuck in thinking, not doing or doing based on their thinking that isn't clear, reality or is a imposed belief is a huge issue. I understand it for I was there too. The world trains us this way and thank goodness I was visited by those Masters of Energy so long ago on my farm. They totally shifted my experience of what is happening here.
The mind is a magic tool when used right. Most don't use it right and it is all they use. The beliefs we have, the unconscious stories and ties we created when we were small, are just not real or correct. Self awareness is realizing we have alot of BS in our minds and we get to chose what rules, ideas, beliefs we operate with. If it is not working, then find a new one! We have stories upon stories of what is real and most of it is not. We had this and that happen and we came to a conclusion that is not based in reality often. It was a protection, a small child's interpretation, a misread, a incorrect conclusion based in the light of greater awareness. We spend our whole life realizing this greater awareness of things.
I believe mind has it's place and if it is the only tool we use, we are going to have problems. We have many other tools and it is a blending of all perceptions that are going to give us the best accuracy if there can even be one. We all have different realities and operate from our own center. We often think others are coming from where we are and that is not the case. There are as many perspectives as there are people.
A key to self care is to use all of your being to make sense of this experience. No one else has the answers for us but ourselves. They have opinions that can support us maybe, maybe not. They have tools and wisdom that may work for us or may not. We get to determine what those ideas and tools are and it is our own experiment. If you don't get to know yourself, what inspires, what lifts, what lightens you are at the whim of others ideas and thinking which most likely won't bring forth your brilliance. We were made unique for great purpose. We are the only one like us, so these ideas need to be owned, determined, claimed and lived by us individually.
If you just stay with thinking, I can tell you from my experience working with others, you are missing a whole world of experience that has nothing to do with thinking and joy will elude you. We have 6 senses that are continually giving us feedback about the world that when put together give us the most accurate summation of things. Your thinking is often wrong when put with the mix of other guidance and sensing of the world. Being em-bodied, present, noticing and seeing, feeling, hearing and sensing is the way to live a life fully.
Thinking changes, perspectives shift, experience alters how we think and what we think. It is not so stable to be a one tool show. We were given a body with emotions, senses physically as well as thinking. Not using 2/3 of your tools seems to be imbalanced and inaccurate. We are in an experience here that involves a body with emotions and senses. Thinking they are not part of the purpose or equal in evaluation of the world just seems down right silly.
I encourage all of my clients to get present and notice the world and the real truth that is occurring. Make your ideas if you must about it but do notice with all your tools, all your body, what is occurring. First off, you get to experience such fun, pleasurable sensations in the simpliest of tasks. Eating is yummy. Smelling the fresh air and scents turns on the brain to greater clarity. Hearing what people are really saying because you are listening rather than thinking of stuff supports understanding. Seeing what is about you in beauty and magic brings in higher states of joy and emotion. Sensing with your intuition gives you (to me the greatest information) that what's in front of you is not always as it appears. It allows you to discern situations with what feels like a magical talent.
My message of self care today is to get out of your head and into your body. You are missing so much beauty, joy, love, kindness, fun and laughter. It is a beautiful world full of many lovely things. If you are not experiencing them or engaging in them, my guess is that you are thinking too much. You are not doing, noticing, experiencing and simply being. You can't think happiness for it is an emotional state. Or joy or love or fun or enthusiasm. They are energy. Thinking is not energy in the same way and it often is very sedentary!
Open up to all of the magic you are! Feel the world, smell the world, hear the world, see the world and experience the world. You can make thoughts about all of that but certainly don't miss the other things. You can have great joy with all those others things and thinking doesn't even need to occur! So put that in your thinking cap and smoke it! Teehee!
On day 13 of myself care exploration, it is fascinating to watch what gives me pleasure, nourishes me and energizes me. It changes too, depending on the day, my mood and what is going on. I have been paying such closer attention to the things I do throughout my day that fuel me, that drain me and how to shift into a different mindset, emotion and physical energy by giving self care when I am in a low vibe. It is the true essence of self care. To notice how you are when you can, then give yourself what you need in that moment to feel, be or think better.
Obviously, we don't always notice how tense we are or in a struggle but when we do, we can find a tool to take care of ourselves which means re-balance, recenter. It can be quick, fun and easy. It is an honoring of me when I do this. It is paying attention, feeling my feelings, see what is about creating issue or if it is within, then seeking a way to get back to a brighter, empowered way of me. This is for me, chosen by me and I do this awareness so I can be and feel good, cared for and in charge of myself. my emotions, my mind. This is how our spirit, our authenticity shows up and we get to know ourselves intimately.
It all makes such sense to do this stuff. Mentally we get it. Emotionally we don't really vibe it. If we did, we would naturally do this for ourselves. We could always deepen this practice for it is true awareness of ourselves in any given moment. Taking care of yourself first so you may better serve others is how we say it in my minister school. Why don't we vibe this emotionally?
I consider it is because we don't investigate ourselves enough. We need to sense ourselves and our emotions. We need to then play with things to see how that makes us feel. We get to chose and do what works for us and it is different than another. The ideas of beauty and looks, authenticity are put out there as rules that are just not correct for most of us. We need to decide for ourselves and let the world think what it may. No one can fit the rules of the world always. In fact, regarding beauty, I don't like the standard so I make my own.
We all get to do this. We all feel authentic, joyful, beautiful, cared for in different ways. Find and honor your way. We have different love languages and it pays to know yours and maybe observe others. Exploring this, exploring self care supports your understanding of you. It is paramount so that you are not taking others rules or outside appearances as your truth for you won't feel fulfilled. I believe this is the great problem to many woman. You find out what feels good. You do those things that support and nourish you. Only you can figure that out, do those things and tell others. We don't all fit in one catagory. Especially woman. We are dynamic change. We shift our ideas quickly and it is all ok and natural.
So really investigate yourself. That is what is missing in our feminine way of being. We are using others ideas as our pleasure base and it is not working. This adventure I am on is magical. I am finding my way with self care in great levels. I chose who, what, how and where to feel good and nourished. I get to play with my beauty, inspiring my soul and being how I want. It is the mastery of being a woman and honoring your and your flavor. Very fun indeed!

"The greatest gift I learned from the Himalayan Masters that came to my farm was an understanding of my energy field. We have an egg shape field about us that is considered our energy field. Honestly, it was some odd mental idea to me. We did practices where they would say feel how do you feel now" and then ask again after the practice and it was like a light bulb. I understood this "auric egg" idea completely through experience. I noticed when I felt powerful and big different from when I felt weak and constricted. We are doing this without awareness anyway.
After learning this, I became an Aharaj Yoga Teacher because it was such a powerful experience. Aharaj Yoga is a marial art, considered Spiritual Aikidoo or the Yoga of empowerment. It is a practice to clear your energy field of stress through movement, thinking and emotions. It also supports you to feel energy and that is why it was so important to me. I share it in my Tai Chi Health classes for it is a valuable tool. It makes the whole world more magical for it is all about energy.
Everything around you is energy. All the items, the people, the nature outside, it all is energy. We learn that the things we are around, we intermingle with, we play and work with, all have a vibe. When we are near them, we are mixing our energy with them. So if you are happy and you go around someone sad, after a bit you too start to feel sad or less happy. It is the law of energy that if you are unaware, all medians out. High and low bring each other to an average.
Why is this important in self Care? We have power to get ourselves in good emotions and feelings. Once we do, it is best if we pay attention to what supports that and what drains it. You may of done nothing physical but sit at a computer all day yet you feel so tired. It is because the electronics drained you. If you got up and went outside every hour or two, you would not to be so tired for nature feeds you positive energy to combat the technology. How do you feel so tired if you didn't move much all day? It is a matter of energy management.
Other times people can drain you. You can feel all delighted and run into a negative nelly. Trying to work with them or deal with them can sap all your happy mood. Other people you find are a delight to be around for they are high energy and you feel motivated and inspired when with them. This is watching how things effect you and your energy level. We only have so much so we conserve and find ways to be around things that create high energy rather than hang in low energy.
In our homes, it is important to decorate and have things around you that when you look at them you feel good energy. We all have areas that are messes, or a corner we throw things and when we look at it we feel, "ugh". It drains our energy. It is best to clear up those spaces or everyday, whether you notice or not, that area sucks your energy. Keep inspiring things about you so when you look around any of your spaces, they give you a jolt of happy or peace.
You simply are in charge of this. You can have high energy all day by inspiring yourself with things that are high vibe in thoughts, actions, emotions. Certainly life gives you some challenge, but when you understand energy you can reset pretty quick by knowing what things give you a boost. It could be meditation, prayer, a inspiring quote, a step outside, a walk, a visit with a loved one, a good delicious meal, a candy bar. There are so many things that in a moments notice can brighten our mood. Essential oils, music is powerful to make you happy or even sad, movement is great and even deep breathes do the trick.
Once I had the experience and understood how I felt viscerally when I felt good, I could play with things and watch how they effect me. It takes a bit of an observation role. It is easy to cultivate and in playing with self care, I have really noticed how things lift me. It is all about energy management. I was blessed to learn this and I teach others how to use this, their emotions, their thinking, their environments and other people and ideas to have more energy. It is like magic and you can feel good most of the day when you are aware.
This is a key tool to self care. If I am going to wake up and start my day bright, do things to get me up, going and inspired, this is a choice and takes work in this world. I will be damned if some unaware driver or piece of equipment or mean check out person is going to take it away from me. I guard my brightness with lioness power! It takes work to be sparkly and uplifted and I will not let anything drain it if I can help it!!

My word for the year was "Exploration"! So on the first of January, I decided to begin by exploring self care for the following days of the month. I became a minister almost 4 years ago and upon getting initiated into that, I found my ministry was to be in self ministry. I am a woman and I believe woman are that natural nourishers of the world. We know how to care for others innately always ministering to others. In studying femininity with Himalayan Masters, they taught me the most important thing I could do as a woman was to take time for myself. To learn of who I am without all the others and really put forth time to that or I would never became my authentic fulfilled woman.
As mentor and teacher of femininity, I have learned alot about this self care, self ministry. I am passionate about teaching other woman what I have learned. It is powerful stuff that we all hear of, know we should do but don't. Being a great student has paid off with this one. 8 days into self care exploration and here are my findings so far.
I must say I am proud at how good I am at listening to my body deva. I realize, I listen to myself pretty well. This has taken years go get to this point and really honor myself. I learned of Sacred Femininity 8 years ago and published my book The Lotus Project, The Art of Being a Woman. I have been practicing this understanding of myself, my femininity for quite some time. It is rewarding to see how far I have come. It is a life long practice and it works to support us beyond what we think!
My sensing the energetic value of different activities has been amazing! Getting different results than I would of thought! I am an energy teacher at the base of it all. Truly, knowing the subtle nuiances has been fun. How the dirty floor in need of vaccum didn't bother me for a bit and then when it did, the energy was there to do it happily and if I didn't, it would be a drain on me. My light refrig didn't bother me then suddenly it did and I had to go fill it up.
Observing how and when things are something to be done for me to get energized is self care. We have so many tasks always calling us. I don't have to jump on it just because it looks like I need to do it or my mind says too. Noticing the moment when the energy to do it is there and the inspiration, the good feeling, the feeling of caring for me will come from it. That has been fascinating. For normally my mind would run things, I let my energy run it. When I knew it was valuable to me, it was easy to do and felt lifting when I did. Real self care.
Flowing moves are the key to parasympathetic rejuvenation. I have brought back in some Tai Chi that I wasn't doing through the holiday and colder months. I forgot how healing the flowing movements are for they feel peaceful and remind my body of that more alert, calm pace. Tai Chi puts you in the parasympathetic nervous system easily. I can move through the world in that. It supports my body deva in remembering this is my healthiest pace. I am clearer than the hairy carry the world inspires.
Music and Dancing are key energizers. Dancing as I get ready for my day is great self care. I don't always stop and dance out but the sound of music lifts me to move in pleasant ways as I do my routines. Playing music in the morning as I prepare for the day really supports me. I feel grounded in my body, I feel more beautiful and playful as I get ready and my confidence level and spirit has a more energized start. I feel myself magnetizing things in a magic way from this!
Resting, relaxing, stopping when I am tired and honoring this message brings great rewards! Trying to complete things unless they MUST be done is not wise. I take more time and my brain and being is not up to par. It takes longer. If I stop, rest and do these things at a time when I am more alert, it is easier. I am resting alot so far but we just went through two months of holiday interacting and extra tasks. Winter is a time when the sun is absent to energize us and known as a more inward time. I am using this to reflect and be still. Sleep even!
I love my daily, hourly lotions and potions! I am an elixir Goddess and they help me so. They are a quick ways to recenter, keep my emotional state in check, sing my heart and easy lighteners! I highly recommend learning of magical elixirs for yourself. As woman, sensual and intrigued by texture, scent, smell, color, we find such pleasure in our potions. It is our nature and it brings in a vibe of play and fun as well as control over what is going on!
Many small things are so valuable energetically. We all think getting our nails done, treatments, pampering in ways of the world are the self care ways. Yes they are, I love those beautifying things and do them. I promote these arts. I am finding in this beginning leg there are many common things I can do daily in life that effect me powerfully, The typical ideas we think of as self care are not all there is. There are many hidden quick ways to pleasure daily. The things I listed have been far more relaxing so far in this journey. They also give me vital energy to live.
I like this sensing how all these practices in self care effect me as an experiment with science eyes, So powerful and I normally wouldn't notice. I am exploring these ideas so that I know the rich vibration they bring me can be known. Very magical to observe and use to navigate this new year!

Nutrition is the number one way of health and well being. Even if you want to get the body and shape you want, you shift through your food more than any movement. In the schools of spirit, nutrition is the first way to really learn honoring of yourself. To take in the things that will keep you fueled, healthy, clear and emotionally sound are the first step to self care of the lovely vessel we ride in.
I don't get crazy about having this or that. I eat fresh, colorful, organic and varied foods. I eat them all and I switch things up. I often tell people anything in a box is not so good for you. Eating fresh, live food that looks like it has energy is my choice. Things that appear old or can hang on a shelf too long don't have much energy. We are eating for energy hopefully ingredients that will provide our body the enzymes, nutrients, minerals and roughage to support health.
There are many things I could offer about nutrition and my book, The Lotus Project, The Art of Being a Woman has a whole chapter on the triad of nutrition. Food, takes energy to create energy, is considered as the lowest and the most laborious form of energy. "High impressions" as they are called, the greater things of meditation, spiritual practice, good words, healthful conversation, music, nature. all offer the best nutrition for our bodies for they provide immediate energy and nourish us on greater levels. Having high impressions and greater pleasures in life allows us to eat for only fuel. This can curtail unnecessary and emotional eating. If we are not filled with greater inspiration, nutrition, reaching for food is easy as a pleasure. Many overindulge for food is their only pleasure in life.
Oxygen is the 2nd level of nutrition. Filling up with oxygen through movement, getting up rather than taking a nap can give us greater energy. If you do 10 jumping jacks, you fill with oxygen and shift to a more energetic state. Any quick movement that oxygenates us, gets our energy field shifted and moves about our body and organs is enough to revitalize us. I teach Tai Chi Health and the movements are not hard but calmly invigorate us. This nutrition is a valuable energy source. Don't miss out on a quick. energy source that can support you faster than converting food to energy. It also supports all our processes for it is the breath of God or Goddess. An elixir of highest form for we need it to survive. Oxygen invigorates us, detoxes us, most is done through breathing and all of us uses oxygen for all processes. They even have oxygen bars in NYC. Many patients after surgery go into oxygen tanks to support quicker healing. It is a great nutritious source to fuel the body.
When you do eat, it is a wonderful time to get into oxytocin. Three times a day we have to relax and enjoy the pleasure of eating. So many ruin this most pleasurable experience by not tasting, chewing or reveling in eating. We eat on the fly or without tasting our food. These practices of being conscious while we eat are powerful to set up the body for the best digestion. Eating in front of the tv especially if the news is negative adds stress to our emotions effecting good digestion. As we take in food we are taking in the emotions and thoughts with it. It is best to have positive feelings and thinking as we eat to create greater health. Seems small but we are always taking in things on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level simultaneously. It is powerful to notice not only what food you eat but the other levels that you take in with it. It allows for a greater pleasure experience while it effects our body in ways invisible yet powerful to ease digestion of all levels.
I will leave you with an conscious eating practice we did on all our retreats. My family would do this as well. Eating is a sacred art and we often celebrate and commune with food sharing comraderie and love at once. Grace is a good start to any meal for it prepares the body for digestion. The simple act of gratitude puts us in the positive state of receiving. Chewing our food and tasting as well as reveling in the pleasure of it gets the most health out of the experience.
Chatting with ones you love about the positive experiences or ideas you are creating supports communion. This programs those thoughts and emotions to go in with your food. Then these ideas are circulating in your cells as your food passes through and you unconsciously are programming your body with intentions. Sharing love, taking your time, putting forth good thinking and emotion as well as truly savoring the delight is high level nourishment.
Consider all these types of nutrition as you care for your sacred temple body. People get to crazy about it and add emotion, denial, obsession and too much mental thinking to this process. We eat for pleasure, for fuel and to build our vehicle. It is a magic health system and our job is to support, honor and let it do its work. Good gas in your car runs it the best.
Really paying attention to our lives, what is working and what is not, is powerful. If we don't like things we can often put off what to do to change them if we can'g figure it out or ignore it. This allows default to come in and that often is not as gentle as slowing taking small actions toward changing things. I use the new moon to consciously see 30 days of life. I create intentions and write them down. I will burn the as a process of releasing out my ideas to the universe and perhaps do a ritual or sacred play around it. I give myself the moment to be very conscious that I am a creator and can shift what I want by taking the first action to think about my life with alone time.
I find this to be important self care. One of the Masters I learned from spoke how woman do not take enough alone time to really get to know themselves. Time to be with themselves, their emotions, their ideas and to reflect, review and know what is going on within. This intention practice supports us doing this. We care so for others and often don't know what is truly going on within. The emapathic gift gets us filled and tangled in others needs. We don't know us from them or our emotions versus theirs.
As creatures of the earth, our environment effects us. That is why the studies of astrology, numerology, the cycles of the moon offer us opportunities to work with what is going on around us. We are part of the macrocasm so we can use these larger cycles to support our daily world. Every month we have a new moon. We can use this cycle to build ideas with the new moon, as it grows and release things for the period that the moon wanes. Riding the larger cycle that effects the tides and water bodies of the earth. It also effects our body for we are atleast 70%. water. Makes sense.
Use the new moon, the first one was yesterday, as a time to look at what you want more of and put it down on paper. It could be goals or projects as well. I usually pick areas I want to expand, feelings or ideals where I want more abundance. This takes some reflection and review to notice what is and is not working. Rather than just review at birthdays or New Year, both good practices, a monthly review to intend things each month. I consider this a powerful practice in self care.
Time to review, reflect and put forth your direction to yourself and the universe. Powerful stuff! Great self care!
In honor of the solar eclipse of the New Moon in Capricorn, I want to share the power of embracing your shadow. After a healing bath, I went outside and suddenly heard myself going into forgiveness of myself for all these odd things through out life. It seemed alittle random and as each old and new situation came in, I just forgave myself for judging myself for all the things that floated by my mind. I wasn't sure if it was the eclipse, the salt bath, the meditation I did in the bath, the heart mudra , a moment of release that came upon me or most probably the unhidden gem in doing all this self care!
It doesn't really matter why it came but I was thankful to honor myself and forgive myself for these things, We must be our own best friend which is the purpose behind exploring self care. Living here is no easy task. We all learn through mistakes and sometimes we even make the same ones over and over. This is just what is here. I have learned through all my spiritual study and support of others that holding onto these unkindnesses we have done is no way to live. In fact, en-lighten-ment, lightening up, comes from embracing and allowing ourselves leeway for these things and LETTING THEM GO! That is the spiritual process and forgiveness the greatest tool to lightening up. Allowing what was to have been and moving on with the lesson and even forgetting about it.
We all have done things throughout our lives that would not be considered kind. The power of the shadow is that we don't embrace this brazen, often child like part of ourselves, ignorant, maybe even stupid. In casting in down inward and hiding it, we create the shadow that will lurk in us as self hate, unworthiness, crazy and maybe even psycho. Everyone has this. When we accept it is part of learning, part of being human, part of living and a common issue we fare better. We can then learn how to embrace, deal with and accept this part of ourselves as being just our nature. Like day needs night, our shadow supports us to know greater ways of living the light.
Self care is about honoring ourselves so it is valuable to know where we don't and deal with it. Forgiving yourself is a powerful tool. We judge ourselves far more than others do or even care too. In forgiving our misdeeds, our miss takes, we learn to embrace ourselves, our humaness, our less beautiful sides. We can embrace it as the whole of us and this experience here. It is probably one of the most missing pieces and powerful reasons we don't truly care for ourselves properly. To really love all parts of us, forgive ourselves and let go.
If there is something plaguing in you, ask Spirit to support the release. You can apologize to another, you can do it in your imagination, you can write it and burn it up. All these support the basic self in saying it is ok, i forgive you and still love you. Just like children, we have parts of ourselves that need to be embraced in the same manner.
We all have small pieces in us from childhood that wreak havoc. Silly beliefs that truly don't make sense if we could see them. No one gets out of here without mistakes for it is how we grow and learn. I inspire you, on this blessed new moon with an eclipse, where these things often will show up, to just watch them move and forgive yourself for them all! No matter what they are! Love yourself enough to stop allowing the shadow to lurk inside like a big cloud of negativity that stirs you in weird self defeating ways.
This was probably so far, on day 3 of self care exploration, the most powerful thing that came forward as I do things everyday in January to honor myself. Playing with small and large ways to honor myself, no doubt will bring up those hidden reasons why I should not. I am certain this is a key piece to why we don't make time for this as woman. We have a plethora of hidden reasons deep within why we don't deserve to treat ourselves as the Queens we are. I am thankful it has shown up so early on. For this will be one of the most powerful months of life for me if I get the opportunity to really see what works to fill me, what beliefs try to stop me from doing that and how I manage to learn and love myself past them.
Truly a powerful realization or "Aha" moment for this happy, light, playful muse! Wow is all I can say as I see the large learning as I write this. Thankfully, I am seasoned in the art of self forgiveness. We do it alot in spiritual circles realizing most of the time, even if it appears as another, it is only a reflection of something inside of us. I got to really see that magic come forward tonight and blessed it is a lovely bit of self care that has lightened me, enlightened me and inspired me to do the next 27 days to see what other gems of love for myself i will find!!
