We have all heard this a million times yet still don't do it. Why is that? Well it begins with our training that to be a kind, helpful girl, we do everything for everyone else. The problem with that belief is then who cares for us? How many woman go about exhausted, wondering when they will get a moment to rest and care for themselves? Well if you want health, beauty, vitality, you must take care of you!!!!
The law of spirit is take care of yourself first so you can better serve others. It is how it works. For when we feel nourished and full, we have plenty of energy to help others. We are the natural nourishers and no one has taught us the real rules. How can any one care for us for they don't know what we need. We could ask but most woman don't use their voices or feel weak if they need help. It is a mess of beliefs we must throw out if we want a joyful life.
We know what we need and our body tells us. How lovely do we feel when we take a moment for ourselves? We have plenty of energy to keep going. It doesn't take alot of time either. When my daughter was young, just 5 minutes alone was enough to refuel me. Only 5 minutes! How about if you went outside and strolled your property, or grabbed a cup of tea and just sat there enjoying it. There are simple small things we can do that take minutes to reset. I often put on a song and just dance to it. Maybe 5 minutes and I reset my energy, refueled with oxygen and felt beautiful in my grace of body. That is all we need to do.
Over time these little 5 minute shifts add up. I am the queen of taking 5 to regroup, refresh, calm down and remember the joy in life. It creates a "Queen of your dominion" sense that I can know what I need, when I need it and do it. You too can create a practice in your life to do these small things that nourish you. It is your job. It is your responsibility and it heals you tremendously!! You empower yourself so quickly and gracefully!
So play with this idea. I inspire you to take care of you when you need it. If your hungry, sit down, eat and enjoy it. If your tired, find a way to take a few quiet minutes to rest and breath deep. If you need movement, go outside and wiggle around for a few. All these simple things reset your system. You feel cared for and refreshed. You become the Queen of your world and your being!
