As I situate myself into this new year, spring has me designing a more active, rhythmed life. I like to shift and change yet there is syncopation in order. It doesn't have to be order that chokes you. A flow to your day that adds in the things you value for health, beauty, inspiration and passion.
As I create a list of ways to support me in my day, I find they are things to satisfy myself to feel safe, healthy, productive and enjoying. I put them in categories that sound good to me. Habits that I like for they will support me being my best. In creating, if there are things I am not doing my best, I add in a practice here and there to get them automatically in my day. As spring brings more movement, I want to use my energy wisely. Not doing too much or too little. Doing the things I want, that make me feel good, safe and supported. I do these for myself and don't expect others to give me that feel good. If they do it is my pleasure to receive. I plan in my fulfillment and contentment first. If I am to support the world in a big way, I need to be overflowing not drained or hindered. Here is my micro add ons. Feeling good in my body and glow. There are many ways to support yourself physically. I go for the least amount but greatest punch movements. I have done my few morning movements and been slowly amping it up as spring settles in. I consider movement my way to clear energy, generate energy and keep my base strong. Dancing and tai chi, some yoga and outdoor adventure are my movements to feel good in my body. Other times it was gardening or bike rides. We can add what we want this new season, new or old. If you want to feel good, inspired, passionate, you must move! Pampering myself. I have some healing practices for my eyes, eating a lighter dinner supports my weight, going to bed earlier, weekly baths when it feels good and getting healing and beauty treatments monthly. Self care and healing a daily choice and a valuable one. Taking time to really relax and give myself gratitude for all the things I will be doing. I can support myself to feel pampered and cared for in a myriad of ways. I give myself permission to do them daily. Contributing to the world, my work. How am I sharing health and beauty with the world? I promote the Magical Holistic Healing Arts podcast and Kangen water, offering ways to health. I share the things I learn from both of them and through green lifestyle choices that work for me. I can expand how I do this, remembering I am sharing a lifestyle. It is about many actions that support me in holistic health. I make these choices for myself and offer others to do the same. I connect people and ways of health. Create a sense of belonging, of community. One that inspires me, accepts me and supports me as I do them. I have a strong far away community and now need to create a local in person one. We can discern who to be around and find them. We need others on many levels. Relationships with good communication takes time. Networks are built over time and we want them to be like us in many ways. Not as a clique, but as likeminded with similar values or goals. We all have many communities: work, neighborhood, hobby, family, friends and learning. I continue to develop these and could jump into something new each week to keep exploration open. Doing what is fun and makes me happy. I share when others join my mailing list, about having a list of things that create happiness. It should be ongoing. Ideas for when we have a minute to when we have a day. Exploring our art of fun and pleasure as we go along. New and expanding ways as well as the old favorites. It is good to question what makes me happy, how can I have fun. Daily choices that inspire, give me enthusiasm and passion. Exploration is fun so I plan in weekly new ways to enjoy and giggle. A list to have and do for a good life. There are my spring lists of daily choices I am creating. It is not your standard work goals that seem to often consume us. That will happen for it is the nature of work busy. These lists are the important things that I may leave out as life speeds up. Yet they are most important. Make your daily choices, write them and consider them. Add in the juicing a few mornings or that salutation to the sun. Extend to new friends, work peers and partners. Find ways that pamper you daily so if all else fails you have a back up plan that nurtures. These ideas call me this spring to be most supportive of my success and well being. And....... with micro add ons, they will be my new habits to carry me forth. Spring forward in life, vitality and joy.
