I have been taught the easiest way through things is to love them. Not the love that we think of emotionally. Obviously when we are in challenge, loving it that way is not possible. It is more of a practice to bring in the vibration of love for it moves all things. Often I am screaming in anger that I love this! It kind of becomes funny as though those words and what is occurring don't even go together. Yet in the crack of a smile or the silliness of just saying that, there is a shift, a movement that lifts me ever so little from the stuck place to a lighter note. Often that is all it takes to get us rolling forward again.
Not that this is easy , but it is a simple practice, a play with words that can simply shift us toward a better state. Often that is all that is needed to shift conditions, make movements, open us to another idea, do something else, anything to move us from a resistant, solid position. As silly or simple as this is, I find it to be one of the most powerful tools I have to get myself through life and challenge, that is very simple. Life is fluid and anything can go haywire at anytime. The game to me, the Yoga of Living is to have all kinds of tools at your fingertips to inch you from feeling locked in to an emotion, a thinking or a physical circumstance. A small bit of shift is all it takes to keep going. Like singing in the rain!
You could make love to life on this level and find yourself getting out of stuck situations. Taking that idea out further, what if you considered just making love to all life in every minute as you strolled through? What if you made everything a pleasure or chose to extract pleasure out of all you did. This may be an easier practice for there is so much good that really goes on in a day that you could revel, savor and truly find the pleasure vibe in.
Imagine how your state, your health, your relaxation would be if you actually where making love to things and feeling the pleasure of it. The I love this feeling that gives you the oxytocin, champagne bubble in your body experience. Rather than dwell on what is crappy, dwell on what is good going on in as many moments as you can with all your body being. Not just mind thinking of good or emotions, feeling good but all of yourself! Single focus on good, on feeling the vibe of the good and experiencing the good. Then when the not so good comes along, you are in the best position to handle it. For you are already in a good state so you are clearer, more calm and open to quicker, greater solution from this pleasure state.
These are the simple things, the momentary tools that living a life of health, beauty and joy encompass. They are not about these elaborate techniques or this extensive spiritual study to have more joy. They are momentary tools, playful ways to lighten up the heaviness in the world. Ways to see the world from a different perspective that changes your whole reality. In fact, perspective is all there is!
There is strife, challenge, hardship and responsibility in this world. It is what it is. We accept that and then learn faster ways to cooperate with it when it shows up. Consider this is the game we are in. How do you surf through the conditions of life with the most health and joy that you can? Then you begin to use your energy efficiently. You begin to stop getting caught in time wasting low vibe behavior by finding tools that energetically shift you out. It becomes like playing, like fun, like a game goal situation. The goal being, how can I shift myself from one place to another quickest. Sound and movement are quicker than thinking. Remember that for it is a gem of living in great joy.
This is where making love to it all is good direction! To me this is just extracting the pleasure out of things. If there is none present to be extracted, I shift my perspective to try to find some or as quickly as I can, move to the next place I can find pleasure in something. This pleasure seeking, hedonism you could call it is a great elixir. Why? It creates oxytocin, the hormone of the parasympathetic nervous system which is our rejuvenation system. Our system of healing, of rest, of renewal, of sustaining health and vitality. Knowing life is creating adrenal stress, it becomes the job of our spirit to find ways to get to the opposite of that as often as we can.
This is where true pleasure comes in. Pleasure can be found every where and I continue to expand what pleasure is, where I find it and create new ways to see it. I expand my understanding of it and it creates health. It supports finding and making love to all things. It opens my senses in greater ways to beauty, joy, lighter perspectives and humor. It is the greatest practice I was taught and continue to play with. It is a never ending tool in a good way..
I inspire you to use this affirmation to Make Love to Life. However that sinks in you. Whatever that means. It grows and expands in so many ways in a good perspective. There is a giving and receiving to it. A co-mingling. A playfulness. A sensuality that involves all your body, emotions and mind. There is a spiritual quality to it. It involves it all. And it is fun! Easy! Simple.
