Oh to savor things! To revel, to enjoy, to sit in contentment, relaxation, acknowledgement of goodness done. Why is it that we just go through task after task and as we accomplish, check off things, we cruise right on to the next one? Never taking the moment to think, "Good job", "You did great" or "Oh this is soooo grand!" Yes we do this on big things but not often enough! No sooner do I complete something and my mind wants to get going quickly to the next!!
This is the production lifestyle that creates such stress and tension. Not even taking a moment to praise well done work, a good meal, or something you solved on the fly or a way you made something work by the seat of your pants? We just move on to the next. Never reveling, savoring our briiliance or even taking a breath to be greatful and feel the "Yea!" of it!
Well to love your life, you need to celebrate these things on a daily, even hourly basis. Let face it, we do so much right, good, well and surprise ourselves more than we acknowledge! We are amazing artists as woman! We have the collaborative skills to make all kinds of things work that no one else could. We create peace in odd circumstances and make win win look easy. We magically orchestrate not only our lives but often our kids, our spouses, and even the neighborhood or community stuff!! It is all so natural, so part of us that we forget what wonder this is!!
We need to celebrate and take 5 for each time we complete something. Really notice our good works and savor it. Think, "Yea, I did that and I am really quite clever and wonderful!" Somewhere in our society, it became wrong to savor and revel in our wonder. We can do this inwardly if we don't want to appear boostful but we should be doing it each and everyday. This creates a habit of remembering all the great we do rather than our flaws. It also create the feel good oxytocin and seratonin! It relaxes us, cheers us and gives us energy to keep going forward!!! This simple savoring is like a hidden gem of energy!!
So each day as you accomplish a beautiful meal, a wonderful resolution, a fine negotiation between kids or adults, run a good meeting, finish your chores or list, get in a workout, whatever the many things we must do.... YOU need to take 5 minutes or even breathes to just sit in the joy and contentment of it! Be proud, fill your spirit on the inside. Allow room to savor the goodness! Revel in a compliment you receive! Feel content that you made it through a hard day! Celebrate that you keep your word to yourself! Be proud and feel alive if you served your family well! Look at the wonder, good you did, fire you put out and feel grand about it!
This brings more joy, more love, more relaxation, more enthusiasm, more power into your life! Rather than focusing on all the wrong things and all the undone chores, celebrate the great wonder of the day!! This will heal your soul and create such a good vibration many times in a day that you will be filled with bright, happy, joyful energy to keep on keeping on!!
Yes we are queens and we deserve the moment to revel in the magical kingdom we run! And oh we do it sooo well!! Deliciously, gracefully and with power beyond what we recognize!
