This is the topic for all woman!! Men seem to have a better handle on taking care of themselves and their needs. As a stay at mom for most of my life, I was used to other care and the catch all for most of the community. I was available for sick kids, airport runs, hospital visits, flat tires, all kinds of odd emergencies. I enjoyed being the grounder and one available. After my daughter grew up and left, it was apparent my role was different and being me in a new way was up for creation.
When I became a minister, my goal was to learn self ministry, a very important part of ministry. I knew how to care for others and often over cared in ways or atleast put others needs first. I believe this is part of being a woman, nourisher, our innate role that does delight and fuel us. However, with the onset of being in the workforce, trying to run a home and take care of others, self care has dropped out and near impossible. We don't seem to know how to do this or give ourselves enough. Then we get upset that no one cares for us but we act limitless. We need to share what that is and often, it is something we can only give to ourselves. This is a big quagmire for femininity at this time. We hear about self care, we try to do it yet we often fall short of doing it in a way that fills us enough. I was awakened to how, the true value and energy from self care by Woman Masters in Femininity. It is a continual journey that I find so delicious! It is being given permission to manage myself first and then I have the most power. We hear these words but when you really practice this daily, it is the most expanding, sensual experience that just keeps getting better. Your Shakti, this well of energy within us is blocked by our current thinking and culture. When we learn of this energy well, begin to do the things that activate it that are easy, natural and fun for us, we have boundless energy to serve and support. It is truly a magic teaching yet so present in us all as woman. Learning of our body, how it flows, what oxytocin is and how to get in this state bring us health easily. We are cruising in the wrong nervous system most of the time so we begin to train our body through easy ways of being that we love as woman. In fact, if it is hard, it is not healthy for woman. Just is. The no pain no gain is not for woman! It is a masculine principle and we are so entrenched with. It must be hard or we can't find true health is wrong for woman. Our bodies are pleasure vehicles of sensuality. Pain kills our sensory connection and the connection to our gift of intuition. Yep, and people will battle me on this. Science will prove it soon enough. Why wait when it is the truth of our body and has been part of our sacred femininity for all time. We just don't have the feminine community that we have spent thousands of years in over the last 75 years so the knowledge has been lost to us. The wisdom is always around and in this time of "divine feminine" the truths, the health, the practices, the stories, the Goddess way is resurrecting back to our world and culture. You may think against it or feel it is not for you but you are a woman and this is your heritage, the wisdom of being a sacred woman. This art and magic has been lost yet it is our true nature. I often wonder when people tell me, "You like Goddess and I just don't buy into that as a woman". It is almost like an oxymoron. Really? There is a masculine, Father God and feminine principle, Mother God, in this earth existence. Two poles. How could you not embrace that which you are? We are woman and Goddess is the divine representation of divinity in feminine form. What is there to reject or not buy into? It is the lost wisdom of woman that creates all this odd thinking and competitive disturbance among woman that are truly the great collaborative nourishers of all things. We all do things our own way and each is perfect. I embrace the wisdom of self care, Shakti, Blessed Mother wisdom, Persian Red Tent knowledge that we had longer than not. As you learn it, it is amazingly simple and delightful for it is all about femininity and if your a woman, this stuff is in our DNA. Self care, the right kind, understanding our body and selves as dynamic change and will o wisp beings we are is the quickest way to health and a magical life experience. I was blessed to be open, challenge my cultural untruths, play with these ideas and find it to be so transforming I have made it my purpose! So ladies, I invite you to investigate and participate in daily self care! Little by little you learn to honor yourself in ways that delight. It is all about delight and pleasure with woman.
